The rumor had been going around for a while- that Blackpink’s Rosé was to attend the Met Gala 2021 representing Yves Saint Laurent. The news was confirmed when she was photographed leaving a YSL fitting in New York a day before the event.
Rosé made history by being the first K-pop artist to attend the Met Gala. Making her entrance with Anthony Vaccarello, Saint Laurent’s creative director, she wore a sleek LBD from YSL’s ready-to-wear-look and a crystalized choker complete with a lacquered four-leaf clover. The outfit was further accessorized with jeweleries from Tiffany and Co. who she also endorses.
In a video released by Vogue on Youtube which follows the K-pop starlet getting ready for the event, she confides that fellow group-mate, Lisa had wanted her to take pictures of celebrities attending the gala. “But I don’t think I can do that,” she adds while laughing. Hopefully, we will see the rest of the members attending the Met Gala in the future.
